What's New in Famzil

Got a school flyer, a sports schedule, or a screenshot with events on it? Just send it to Famzil and we’ll turn it into calendar events for you. We’ve also added recurring reminders and made your daily schedule load faster.

New

• Import from files and photos. Send Famzil a photo or file — like a flyer, school schedule, or screenshot — and we’ll pull the events out and add them to your family calendar.
• Recurring reminders. Set a reminder once and have it repeat on whatever schedule you choose.

Improved

• Today’s Schedule loads faster.
• See a preview of the photo or file you’re importing before the events are added.
• The “Add” button now brings every way to add an event together in one simple menu.

Bug Fixes

• Fixed an issue where events from calendars synced from Outlook showed the wrong time zone.

Adding a single event to Famzil used to mean clicking through field after field. Now you can describe it in plain words, or hand Famzil a picture or PDF, and let it do the rest.

New

• New AI feature. Adding events is now much easier. Just describe the event in your own words and we’ll fill in the details for you, including who’s going, the location, notes, repeat rules, and more. Nothing hits your calendar automatically — you review every event, add details, and make any adjustments before it’s added.
• Bulk import. Add events by taking a picture or attaching a PDF or image file of full calendars, flyers, invites, and so much more. Review events before they’re imported, then keep and edit only the ones you want.

Improved

• A more modern family member card design that’s compact and easier to scan.
• Performance across the app.

Bug Fixes

• Misc bug fixes throughout the experience.

You can now set visibility for calendars and events. Choose to share an event with your whole family, just the parents, or keep it to yourself. Add your work schedule to your family calendar so everything lives in one place, without your family seeing every work meeting.
