Hi, I'm Jay Signorello

Dad of three. Entrepreneur. Kid taxi driver.

I've been building software for 25+ years, and the thing I keep coming back to is this: I love making things that genuinely help people in their daily lives. Tools that actually work and make the hard parts easier.

I could be doing other things right now. After my last company, I had options. But I kept coming back to this problem, the one I was living every week with my own kids. It felt too important to ignore and too personal to hand off to someone else.

"Famzil isn't a side project or a bet on getting rich. It's the passion I want to spend years getting right."

What drives me

Building something I'm proud of, that my own family relies on, that makes other parents' lives a little less chaotic.

Why Build Famzil?

Modern parenting is hard, especially with two parents working. Figuring out how to squeeze in all the kid activities, work, and chores has become a logistics nightmare. With two kids on travel soccer teams, our weekends are packed. Sprinkle in activities for our oldest daughter and we've got all the ingredients for chaos. Our shared Google calendar turned into a wall of overlapping colors that didn't provide a plan, just more stress.

What I really wanted was simple: wake up and know what's on the schedule today. Know when we need to leave. Have a place to plan with my partner on who's doing what. Give my kids access to the same information so they could take ownership of getting themselves ready and out the door on time. All without the frustrations or fights. Just enjoy the day.

I also wanted to make my wife's life easier. She works full-time and does enough already. She doesn't need more stress. It should be obvious when she's handling pickup and when I am. No more back-and-forth texts. No more "I thought you were getting them?" phone calls. And we wanted to stop forgetting things! Like the birthday gift for the party we're driving to in 20 minutes.

Sound familiar?

  • πŸ˜… Showing up to the wrong field (more than once)
  • πŸ˜… Arriving to a game in a panic because we're late
  • πŸ˜… Forgetting to get the gift for the birthday party this weekend
  • πŸ˜… Friday night planning travel times for weekend events
  • πŸ˜… Aren't you bringing them tonight?

We tried different apps. Task managers. Family organizers. They're all the same thing: shared calendars with a fresh coat of paint. Nothing built specifically for the chaos of coordinating family life. If we were ultra wealthy, we'd hire a personal assistant to manage it all. But that's not reality for us, or most families.

So I'm building Famzil. For every family who's ever felt like they need a personal assistant just to get through the week. Parents who are doing their best and deserve a tool that actually helps instead of adding more complexity.

Company Mission

Give families their time back

Modern family life is hectic. Between work, school, sports, and everything in between, parents spend too much mental energy just keeping track of who needs to be where and when. I built Famzil to take that weight off your shoulders, so you can spend less time managing your family's schedule and more time actually enjoying it.

Guiding Principles

Built different, on purpose

Families first

Every decision I make starts with one question: does this make life easier for families? If it doesn't, I don't build it.

Privacy by default

Your family's data belongs to your family. I don't sell it, I don't mine it for ads, and I never will. Privacy isn't a feature, it's a promise.

Honestly priced

No venture capital, no growth-at-all-costs pressure. Famzil is funded by the people who use it, which means I answer to families, not investors.

Built to last

I'm not chasing quick money. Famzil is designed to be a reliable part of your family's routine for years to come. Thoughtful, stable, and always improving.
